BULGARIAN COIN Set 1, 2, 5, 10 20 and 50 stotinki, 1999 + medal
On July 5, 1999 the Bulgarian National Bank denominated the national currency, the Lev. The new circulation coins are produced at tthe Bulgarian Mint. This set contains uncirculated coins of 1, 2, 5, 10 20 and 50 stotinki. On the obverse is the rider from Madara - a rock relief from 8th century and the word Bulgaria. The reverse features the nominal value, the year of issue, the word STOTINKI and on the upper side around the edge are the twelve stars of the European Union.
For the new millennium Bulgarian Mint developed a commemorative medal - silver-plated , in proof quality, using state-of-the-art technology. This medal is included in the collection.
