This set of reeds contains 2 reeds - one for the Gaidanitca , one for the ruchilo. You can chose the tonality of the reeds - E or D. The reeds for Kaba gaida in D are slightly longer.
The bagpipe tone is obtained through the help of reeds called "piskuni". These are thin cylindric reed tubes, with a "tongue" cut in lengthwise. The lower end of the reed is enwrapped with thread, which serves for tuning the basic key of the chanter by changing the length of the resonating "tongue".
