BULGARIAN WWII MILITATRY CANVAS SHELTER HALF TENT « Bulgarian Militaria « Home
We offer you a soldier tent canvas of the Bulgarian royal army, used in WWII. It was part of the equipment of every Bulgarian soldier at the time. The canvas was to be carried tied to the soldier's rucksack, folded in a roll-like manner. The half tent went with a set of poles and a rope, which we sell, too. The canvass size is: 156 x 158 cm/ 61,4 x 62,2 inches. Each of the four canvass corners has a thick leather piece sewn to it. Each end part is characterized by 7 small holes for the rope. Also, there are cylindrically shaped, wooden buttons sewn to the canvass as well as interesting nooses of triangle form.
To illustrate that such canvasses were really used, we have provided a photo of two Bulgarian royal soldiers of the WWII period. One of them is a radio operator and carries a backpack with a tent canvass as the one we are offering. His sleeping pal is also to note. The latter wears a sheep-fleece waist coat which we sell, too.
The tent canvass we offer is really rare to come across. It is in very good condition and is absolutely authentic. There is only one very small hole.
It will definitely please the WWII collectors who want to complete the military equipment of a royal-time Bulgarian soldier.
