GERMAN WWII HELMET M42, shell size 64

This is original German WWII M42 Combat helmet. It was made in Germany and imported in Bulgaria so Bulgarian army, German ally during WWII, used it on the battlefields. The helmet comes in the original Bulgarian green color from this period. Later, may be in '50s, even the communist have forbidden German equipment, liner was changed so the helmet was prepared for new use. But they left the original liner ring with all German marks of the military fabric producer.
Probably with the same reason somebody has tried to erase the originally stamped numbers. Today we can read only : ??64 and 2328 Shell size: 60
