Bulgarian Communist Army Helmet M51/72, Italian M33 Copy

This is communist army helmet M51/72. The interesting about this helmet is that it was made after the Italian Nazi M33 helmet model, although the initial idea was to look more like the Soviet post war helmet types. The model can be dated to 1951. This type of helmets are produced in the '70s and are still used in Bulgarian army. Helmet is of a very unusual dark green color paint that differs from the later light green color shells. Most probably these helmets were intended for some special military unit.
The leather liner and the chinstraps are in great condition, marked. Size: 56, 57 (US 7, 7 1/8)
