Rare Bulgarian PF-90 gas mask, FULL SET « Bulgarian Militaria « Home
This is an excellent item that will be highly valued by the collectors. This gasmask model can be dated back to the 1990s. After the fall of communism, in Bulgaria were devised 2 new gasmask models. One of them is PF-90 (the one we are offering at the moment), and the other is PG-1. The latter is also present in our store. The PF-90 gasmask model meets the newest world requirements for the means of defense. As you can well guess, the model was intended to be used in the army.
What is most interesting about this gas mask, however, is that it represents the first Bulgarian model that allows administering liquids in one’s body. For that purpose there has been employed rubber tube that is attached to a specially devised cap. The cap is placed on a standard Bulgarian military canteen that is not included in the original set. Still, if you want to posses such a canteen, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We can provide you with such.
The gasmask is used by the Bulgarian contingents that are on missions outside the country: Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia etc.
The PF gasmask provides full protection of the respiratory organs, face and the digestive tract against bacteria, viruses, aerosols, poisonous substances and radioactive particles. The skin of the face is defended for 8 hours at minimum.
The filter can be placed at the front or sideways. It is useful for the marksmen. One of the openings is closed by means of a rubber cap. At the front is present a membrane with a speech device. At the bottom is the opening for the air exhaled. The filter, "FPK-90", is still bearing the labels of the manufacturer. The date the filter bears shows that it was made in 1991. At the front is placed a lid made of plastic that is to be removed when used.

• Filter box (combined filter)
• Canteen cap
• Pre filter
• Anti perspiration graphite
• Bag
The set can be cleaned by means of soap or alcohol-containing solution.
The PF gas mask is generally fabricated in 3 sizes. The one we offer is of size 2 (M/L). Please, contact us if you are looking for a different size.
