Rare Bulgarian Communist Tank / Artillery Visor Cap of a General

We are offering this rare visor cap of a Bulgarian artillery general. It was part of General's parade and everyday uniform. The black color band designs the troop type where General served - he was an Artillery or Tank division general. The cap makes part of the official parade uniform. Cockade depicts a standing lion with red star and bulgarian national flag - this is the Bulgarian communist army symbol which is encircled by hand embroidered decoration of oak leaves and acorns, typical for general caps only. The visor is also decorated by ornaments which were used for the early communist models.

Inside the cap a hand inscription is seen: "general Jivov" . The cap belonged to General Georgi Jivov who was a political commander in Construction troops general staff.
