This is a rare officer visor cap, used during the WWI and after the war. It was part of the combat winter uniform of an officer from 22nd Chief regiment of His Majesty Karl Eduard, Herzog Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
It is made of soft wool; the band basis is of yellow-green color with white edging. On both sides there are buttons with crowned lions. At front the visor is surmounted by a porcelain cockade
On the producer stamp inside the cap we read the name of Ivan Popov, a military cap maker.
Size: EU 57-58.
The cap is a real find ! Very few of these survived till present days. Belonged to an officer of the chief regiment is making it more precious even.
The cap is in perfect condition. Very well preserved!
