Rare Original Austrian Hungarian Mannlicher Bayonet M95 , FGGY marks & Frog Unused

We offer original Steyr Mannlicher bayonet, 1895 model, with scabbard and leather carrier.
The bayonet is manufactured in Budapest, intended for Bulgarian royal army. The bayonet was probably assigned for the Austrian-Hungarian army, but it was afterwards given to the Bulgarian army, for the two countries were allies in the WWI. The bayonet was not actively used, and that’s why it can be seen inscription on the blade with the bayonet’s number, probably from the assignment. It was afterwards stored in a military reserve storage. This makes it a valuable item.
The blade is perfect. At its upper end, on the one side can be noticed: "F.G. G.Y." which stands for the name of the Hungarian manufacturer: "Femaru Fegyver es Gepgyar, Budapest". On the other side of the blade can be noticed the Hungarian coat of arms with cross. The marks on both sides are rarely clear and visible. The cross guard is stamped with the enlist number to the Bulgarian army – “9252”, while the old number 12 is scratched.
The full length of the bayonet is: 37,5 cm / 14,8 inches.
The blade only is 24,8 cm / 9,6 inches.
The scabbard's clasp is marked: "F.G. G.Y.", and also has the Austrian-Hungarian coat of arms.
The carrier is original and made of genuine leather, most probably Austrian or German production during the WWI. There are handwritten initials on the carrier “Sf”, which could mean “Sofia” – the capital of Bulgaria.
Perfect condition of the wood covered handle too. The metal parts are perfect . The bayonet has never been used and was covered in grease which was removed before we took photos the photos. It was exactly this grease that helped the bayonet to be conserved in the Bulgarian army stock houses for over a century now.
Rare bayonet in great shape! Perfect authentic condition.
