Koukeri band was founded in 1971. For 15 years they recorded more than 120 songs, 5 gramophone records and a great number of singles. As a result, in the 1980s Koukeri became one of the most popular Bulgarian bands playing Progressive rock. During the same period the band gave a lot of concert tours not only in Bulgaria but also in the former Soviet union and Czechoslovakia, Germany and Austria. What is best liked as it goes to Koukers' performance is the many-voiced singing, the rich repertoire and the melodic, dance style.
