"Orlin Anastassov' s Herod was perhaps the most striking vocal performance, as he imbued Herod' s quasi- operatic aria with magnificent theatrical and musical presence."
The Guardian, December 21, 1999
Orlin Anastassov made his first significant venture in the field of Orthodox Church music with bass solo performances after he had already won recognition and high appraisal for his appearances on world opera stages. Orlin is a new and extraordinary talent of Bulgarian opera art. With admiration and indebtedness he dedicates his present work to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the unforgettable Boris Christoff. Orlin' s youthful zeal inspires and provokes admiration. His deep voice combined with the excellent performance of "The Seven Saints" Chamber Choir produce the impression of angelic chants.
