Bulgarian Communist Order Title "OF THE PEOPLE"

Instituted: On 15th June 1948, with a decree of the Presidium of the Great National Assembly.
Given to: People already awarded with the title "Honored", people of art and culture, scientists, teachers and medical doctors for their exceptional merits in the field of arts, culture, science, education and healthcare.
Form: The award has the form of a circle. It is made of yellow metal. In the center of the badge can be noticed a curved torch. Two laurel twigs and a starlet above surround the torch. At the bottom is inscribed "Of the PeopleÂ’". The badge has a metal ribbon (in white, green and red) with five-point shape.
