The Children of Orpheus Choir is the first children's chamber choir in Bulgaria to perform Church Slavonic and ritual music. It's more than 10 years old and was founded in order to revive the renaissance spirit of the Bulgarian national choir culture.
The choir is constantly seeking new decisions and enriches their repertoire all the time. The music works are getting more and more difficult to perform which is a great challenge to the young singers who accept it more than successfully.
The Children of Orpheus are popular not only in Bulgaria but also abroad. Their performance is always praised and thought of high which is quite a proof of their talent.
A couple of words should be said about the choir conductor, Venetsiya Karamanova. She is recognized as the founder of the choir, which is considered the peak of her musical career. She has been working as a conductor in the Bulgarian National Radio since 1978.
