Gega New Ltd. begins releasing the series “MASTERS OF CLASSICAL MUSIC”. The new project will feature eight programs with music from the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. Among the recorded works are: Bach – "Concerto for oboe, violin and string orchestra", "Orchestral Suite No. 3"; Ìozart – "Le Nozze di Figaro" Overture, "Eine kleine Nachtmusik"; Beethoven – "Romances for violin" in G major and F major, "The Ruins of Athens" Turkish March; Schubert - “Rosamunde"; Rossini – “Guilliaume Tell”, “Il Barbiere de Siviglia” Overture; Dvorak - “Slavonic Dances”; Brahms – "Hungarian Dances"; Liszt – "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2"; Suppe – "Leicht Kavallerie" Overture; Barber – "Adagio for strings"; Vaughan-Williams – "Fantasy on Greensleeves"; Pachelbel – "Kanon in D minor"; Êodaly – “Hary Janos Suite”; Rosas – “Over the wave” Waltz; Stamitz - "Concerto for Viola and Orchestra", etc. All works are performed by Sofia Symphony Orchestra, conductor Vassil Kazandjiev. Many of these recordings have been released on CD, but such a selection has not been done before. Some of the pieces are not very well known, or have not been performed in public. The present selection will be of interest and great value both to music specialists and classical connoisseurs.
The first album features works by Grieg - “Peer Gynt” (Suite No. 1, op. 46), Sibelius - “Swan of Tuonella”, Handel – fragments from “Water Music”, and Suppe - Overture “Dichter and Bauer”.
The second program presents: Dvorak - “Slavonic Dances”, Sibelius - “Valse Trieste”, Ìozart - “Les petits rien”, Schubert - “Rosamunde”, and Liszt - “Hungarian Rhapsody” No. 2.
