Kaludi KALUDOV began studying singing with Vesselina Zafirova in Varna. He made his debut as Alfred from La Traviata on the stage of the Plovdiv Opera in January 1978, while still a fourth-year student at the State Academy of Music. On February 24 of the same year he was invited for two performances of La Traviata at the Warsaw Opera and in December, as a post-graduate at the Academy) he became member of the cast of the Sofia National Opera where he sang in the course of 12 years. In 1983 Kaludi Kaludov's international career began. His first appearances were in London in Verdi's Requiem and Vienna, as Fioresto from Attila. Then followed Chicago, as Dmitry from Mussorgsky's Boris Godunov together with Ruggiero Raimondi, Samuel Ramey and Lucia Terani under the baton of Claudio Abbado, Italy (he has already toured widely in it), France and in 1985 he signed a contract with La Scala in Milan where he sung in two nights of Dvorak's The Spectre's Bride with the Prague Philharmonic under Gert Albrecht.; in 1991 was invited for six performances of Attila to sing with Samuel Ramey, Giorgio Zancanaro, Cheryl Studer under Riccardo Mutti and in the next year he took part in two performances of Manon Lescaut with Lorin Maazel together with Samuel Reimy, Georgio Dzankanaro, Cheryl Studer, conductor Riccardo Mutti, and the following year he was invited for two performances of Manon Lescaut, conducted by Lorin Maasel. He is famous in Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, Munich, Barcelona, the USA - in Chicago, Houston, San Francisco and elsewhere, in Montreal, Canada, in Argentina - Buenos Aires (Teatro Colon), Brazil - Rio de Janeiro, Japan - Tokyo, Osaka ). He is the only Bulgarian singer who has been a permanent guest and leading tenor since 1994 at the International Festival in Savonlina, Finland. He has participated in performances featuring the worldÂ’s most famous singers for the last 15 years of the 20th century, conducted by Claudio Abbado, Charles Mackeras, Riccadro Mutti, Fabio Luisi among many others.
