Big desk medal of Ludmila Zhivkova foundation + case
This is a beautiful Bulgarian desk medal of the International Foundation , instituted after the name of Ludmila Zhivkova - Todor Zhivkov's daughter. It comes in interesting plastic case.
Todor Zhivkov 's (Bulgarian communist leader) daughter - Ludmila Zhivkova was one of the most active figures in Bulgarian cultural affairs in '80s. She is the founder of the well known in recent communist past movement "Zname na mira" (eng. "Banner of the peace"). In 1979 in Sofia was organized the first International children assembly "Zname na mira" that later became a traditional year assembly. Same year was built the big monument "Zname na mira" that brought together many bells from different countries from all over the world. The complex - monument was opened in presence of the general director of UNESCO - Amadu Mahtar M'Bou. Zhivkova was also the initiator of the big program for the celebration of 1300 years Bulgarian state. She traveled around the world with different cultural missions and was a kind of cultural ambassador of Bulgaria.
