XRare Bulgarian royal Navy dagger, Russian imperial model from 1905

This is a Rare Naval dagger used by Bulgarian offers at beginning of 20th century. Model is from 1905 and is was designed after the Russian imperial dagger by that time which can be explained with the strong pro-russian politic of the recently liberated Bulgarian country. The dagger was intended for officers, as can be seen from its make of mastership as well as from some more specific details.

The dagger is 34,5 cm/13,6 inches long when folded. The length of the dagger only is 31,5 cm/12,5 inches.

This is an almost perfect blade despite its age. It is 21,3 cm/8,4 inches long. There is no markings on the blade, it is chrome plated. Most probably it is made of Mosin M1891. It has a rhomboid section and 4 blade canals which converge at the top, which is needle pointed.

The grip is 10 cm/4 inches long. It is flat, made of white polished bone. The metal employed is brass. The grip ends with a pommel made of brass, too. The dagger has an S-shaped guard which is 8 cm/3,2 inches long.

The scabbard is 24cm/9,5 inches long. It is made of brass sheet metal and black lacquered leather. It has flexible loops for the dagger carrier. Only the officers' daggers have flexible loops like this.
