Original WWII Bulgarian frog for Mannlicher bayonet RARE MARKS

We present you a rare leather bayonet frog for Steyr Mannlicher M88 and M95. It was used in Bulgarian royal army during the two world wars. At that time

Bulgaria

was German ally and naturally was supplied with German and Austrian military equipment.

The frog is made of reddish brown thick leather with six strengthening rivets.

On the back part of the frog you can see the producer's mark. There are also the marks stamped by Bulgarian Royal Army during the WWII, represents a shield with Cyrillic letters “VM” - abbreviation that stands for Voenno Ministerstvo / Bulgarian War Ministry. On the upper part of the shield you can see the Bulgarian lion with crown. In the middle stands the mark of the military unit where the frog was enlisted to " 8 int. dr." (8th supply unit).
