The book comprises 11 songs collected by professor Plamen Arabov. The song titles are transliterated, there are provided the notes and lyrics of the songs.

The author, professor Plamen Arabov, has graduated from the State Musical Academy "Pancho Vladigerov". His major was in Violin and Musical pedagogy. Since 1970 Plamen Arabov has been teaching in the Plovdiv Academy for Musical and Dance Art. He has focused on arranging folklore songs as well as on creating his own songs.
