Very Rare Bulgarian communist Fire forces high rank officer helmet

This is a realy rare piece - Bulgarian communist Fireforces high rank officer helmet, model 1970s. It was made of brass material which gives an yellow metal color of the shell (not green painted like the rest of the army helmets) and helmet's light weight.

In early communist Bulgaria fire forces are equiped with the messing helmets whose model originates from Royal period. In late 1970s was decided that the old shells have to be replaced with a new modern model. So few trial copies of this brass helmets were made. Actually was used the same matrix as for the communist army M51 model ( which copy the Italian WW2 M33 helmets). Just a bit later was introduced the yellow hard plastic helmet that was considered as more appropriated for the Fire Fighter needs, and it was entered in official use.

So the present brass helmet is part of a series made in extremely limited quantity !

The leather parts - liner and chistraps, are just like the other Bulgarian communist helmets. Size : M
The helmet is in its original Very Good condition.
It is a rare item for true collectors!
