Ever since 1974, a Bulgarian exhibition, named most frequently "The Thracian Gold", regularly attracts numerous visitors to various museums of the world (in 1998-1999 a tour in USA, 20 years ago in Metropolitan Museum and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, 2000 in Amos Anderson Art Museum in Helsinki). At this point it should be mentioned that the book " Ancient Thrace" is written on the occasion of the Eighth International Congress on Thracology. This work is an academic achievement of a small but devoted team of thracologists . It is interesting to learn that Thracian tribal community antecedes the emergence of the other Indo-European communities - the Roman, the Celtic, the German, the Slavic and the Scandinavian. The ancestors of the Thracians had lived on the Balkan Peninsula as far back as the new Stone Age. It was also the resource of the Thracian Diaspora, which was to be found during different epochs of the Antiquity in Eurasia and Egypt, and later - in Italy, Rome and the Roman provinces from Britain to Mesopotamia. Considering this historical situation, Thracian culture turned out to be the main and most promising objective of investigation. Thracians were also said to have taken part in the Trojan War. Homer recorded that the Thracian chieftain Rezos appeared before the walls of Troy with the most handsome and well-built horses, whiter than snow and fleet as deer. Thracian traces are also said to be found in Greek mythology. This culture is accepted as an equivalent to a historically creative behavior.
