Badge Parvenets awarded during the 6th five-year period of the Bulgarian planned economy
Badge “Parvenets” (given for most outstanding work) awarded during the 6th five-year period of the Bulgarian planned economy (1971-1975). During the Communist regime everything was planned for five-year periods. There were production requirements, norms, that were to be met, if one reached the upper end of the productivity chart, it was a great achievement, i.e. the more the produced items, the better.
It is a well known fact that during the Communist period badges used to be the greatest stimuli for the people. This badge is a perfect example of a stimulus like this.
