# 14 Bulgarian Medal for Merits to the Bulgarian People's Army

Instituted: On 23th December 1965
Given to: officers, sergeants and soldiers from BNA for merit in stabilization the defence of the country. The medal also was given to citizens for their patriotism.
Form: Circle shape made from yellow metal with 33mm. On the obverse enameller medallion and relief lion .All over the lion is written "For Merits to the BNA". The medallion is situated over two crossed swords. On the reverse is written "For Merits to the Bulgarian PeopleÂ’s Army". The ribbon is with five-angle shape, in light-green, white line in the middle and dark-green on the edges.
