# 28 Bulgarian Medal for Merit to Frontier Safeguard

Instituted: On 26th May 1976
Given to: Bulgarian and foreign citizens for their active cooperation to the Security of Borders servicemen. It was also given to servicemen for bravery, heroism and long service.
Form: Circle shape made of light-yellow metal with 33 mm of diameter. Obverse: a sign "For Merits in the Sphere of Security of the Borders" above are images of men, soldier and pioneer. Reverse: Laurel wreath, borders stone with the National crest and "PRB", five-angle star and "MVR". The ribbon of the medal is with five-angle shape, in yellow, light green and dark-green colors.
