# 30 Bulgarian "Medal For Merit to Security and Public Order", new coat MVR
Instituted: by Decree on 10 April 1969.
Given to: Bulgarian or foreign citizens who had assisted to the bodies of the Ministry of Interior in their combat with foreign or home enemies of the country, or people disturbing public order.
Form: The medal has circle form with diameter of 33 mm. It's made of bronze. On the averse is a red medallion with the national flag and the symbol of the Ministry of Interior on it. The medallion is surrounded by a white-enameled circle containing the inscription: ""For merit to the security and Public order". An wreath with five-pointed star at the top surround the image. The reverse bears inscription "Ministry of interior", surrounded by an wreath and surmounted by the initials NRB / PRB.
Emissions: The Medal has two emissions differing in the effigy of the symbol of the Ministry of Interior and the type of enamel.
- The symbol of the Ministry of Interior from first issue represents flying red banners and a blue shield with a vertical sword on it, and over the sword - crossed sickle and hammer. Below is three-colored band with the initials MVR on it; the medallion and the surrounding circle are enameled.
- The symbol of the Ministry of Interior from the second issue represents a blue shield with a vertical sword on it, and over the sword - crossed sickle and hammer under laid by a band containing the inscription "MVR 10.IX.1944"; the medallion and the surrounded circle are painted with enamel dye.
Ribbon is light green ribbon with a red stripe in the middle, bordered by narrow red stripes on both sides.
