# 59 Bulgarian Medal "40 Years Organization for Cooperation to the Defence"

Instituted: in 1987 for the 40 years jubilee founding the Organization for Cooperation to Defence.
Given to: all participants in the organization contributed to itÂ’s active building and developing as a part of Bulgarian system of Defence. The organization is founded for reacting in disaster and crisis situation - earthquakes, floods and etc. Also for preparing the people in case of unexpected hostile attacks and backing up the army in case of war.
Form: Circle shape. Made from yellow metal. In the center there is an image of symbolizing the military forces of Bulgaria. Surronded by "Organization for Cooperation to Defence". Above are the jubilee years "40 Years" and under the image - "1947", "1987". All surronded by laurel twigs. The ribbon is from metal, rectangular form with national colours.
