# 62 Bulgarian Medal for Participation in the People's Antifascist Uprising 1923", bronze

Instituted: On 15th 1948 by decree of the Presidium of the Great Assembly
Given to: to all participants in June's and September's Uprisings from 1923. Badly organized by the Soviet and the Bulgarian communists. Unsuccessful try to repeat the October revolution from 1917 on Bulgarian land. Ended as a blood bath.
Form: silver-white metal with circle shape - 23 mm of diameter. Obverse: relief composition with people and flag. The image is surrounded by laurel wreath and sign. "September 1923". On the reverse: relief image of George Dimitrov and Vassil Kolarov - the main organizers. On the left side there are farmer and worker. Down in the right is written " 23. IX.1923 Prepared 9.IX.1944". The medal is carried on a dark-red ribbon with orange lines in the edges.
