# 66 Bulgarian Jubilee Medal "50 Years September People's Uprising"

Instituted: On 10th August 1973
Given to: the alive participants from the uprising in September 1923 and the resistance against the fascist subversion on 9th June in the same year. The uprising was badly organized by the Soviet and the Bulgarian communists. Unsuccessful try torepeat the October revolution from 1917 on Bulgarian land. Ended as a blood bath.
Form: Circle shape with 34 mm of diameter made of yellow metal. On the obverse there are images of two men, the one is on a horse and the other one kneeled, both with guns in their hands. On the reverse in six rows is written "50 Years September PeopleÂ’s Uprising". The ribbon of the medal is metal, with rectangular form covered in dark red with yellow line on the edge.
