# 89 Jubilee Medal "100 Years Liberation of Bulgaria of Ottoman Rule"

Instituted: On 22th February 1978 for the anniversary of 100 Years of the Liberation of Bulgaria of the Ottoman Rule.
Has 2 versions. The first version is given to Bulgarian and foreign citizens and organizations for their activity in organization the celebrating 100 Years of the Liberation of Bulgaria. The medals of the second version are given to villages and cities with great importance in the history.
Form: Circle shape made of yellow metal. The citizenÂ’s version is with 34 mm diameter and for villages and cities with 60 mm diameter medal. Obverse: Relief spears, which are breaking the chain. Reverse: in five rows is written "100 Years of the Liberation of Bulgaria of Turkish Rule/3-3 1878" A lion and laurel twig are situated up and down on the text. The ribbon of the first version is with five-angle shape, in green, with a yellow line in the middle. The second version doesnÂ’t have ribbon.
