Given to: Bulgarian and foreign citizens and organizations for their contribution to the Bulgarian Red Cross.
Form: Close to oval shape made of yellow metal. The size of the medal is 49x49 mm. Obverse: Greek cross, red enameller and gold edges. Situated on 24 gold rays in groups by 3. Reverse: Relief image of cross and oak twigs. The sign "Bulgarian Red Cross" and "1878/1978"the year of founding the Bulgarian Red Cross and the jubilee year. The ribbon has four-angle shape, in white, with the national colors on the edges.
