Rare WWII Bulgarian Royal Rucksack

We offer you an original Bulgarian royal rucksack whose model can be dated to the beginning of 20th c. (Bulgaria was Germany’s ally in both WWI and WWII).
The model of the rucksack is an interesting one and differs from the oblong-shaped infantry models.
We suppose that those rucksacks were manufactured for the artillery as well as for other types of troops, too. Also, rucksacks of this sort were kept in stock.
The rucksack we are offering to you is characterized by leather straps placed sideways. They are to be attached to other straps: for a blanket or canvass, as it is with Infantry rucksacks.
The rucksack you see is of an army model. It is made of canvass; and has straps that can be attached to its bottom part by means of hooks. The straps are adjustable, and their stability is reinforced by an additional piece.

The rucksack is closed by means of a rope. The top has a buckle. On the inside of the top can be noticed ink stamps of the Royal army stock houses. There are stamped digits on the leather at the back of the rucksack: "36 , 86740". The rucksack is manufactured in 1936 and “86740” stands for the number used for enlisting the rucksack to the royal Bulgarian army.. There is one thing missing only: the small strap for buttoning the lid. Yet, this element can be easily restored.

The item is absolutely original, in close to perfect condition despite the years that have passed.
