Very Rare Original Bulgarian General Parade Belt WWI « Bulgarian Militaria « Military Equipment « Home
We offer you very rare parade belt. It was part of the Bulgarian royal general uniform. The model can be dated to 1879, after the liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule.
In the early years Bulgarian uniforms look similar to Russian ones.
As a model this belt has been used until WW2, but after WW1 the tinsel color became a bit lighter. Exactly this model has been used until WW1 during Ferdinand’s reign. It is typical of the beginning of 20th c., made of silver tinsel with interweaved red and green threads and characterize with sideward placed buckle.
There are tassels hanging downward, which inside part are made of woolen red threads, a very typical element of the general parade belt.
Belt can be adjusted by moving one the little buckle parts.
