Rare Bulgarian belt & buckle of the Youth tourist union , 1920-1930s

We offer a very interesting belt with buckle, worn by the members of the Youth tourist union in royal Bulgaria, at the beginning of 20^th c. The youth tourist union was established in 1911, in order to be something like a Boy Scout organization. Influenced by Germany and Austro-Hungarian state, in 1941, the union became part of the youth Nazi organization Brannik, similar to the German Hitler’s Youth.

The belt is most probably worn in 1930s till the end of WWII.

Belt is made of 3 leather pieces originally connected by menas of metal rings. The belt buckle is of beautiful design and construction. Illustrates the organizations' logo - an edelweiss flower and inscription around “Youth tourist union Bulgaria”. The buckle is of brass metal, with authentic nice patina. It has never been treated with chemicals, but the new owner can cleaned easily if he wish.

The belt is of genuine leather .

Length 105 cm/41,4 inches; wide 3 cm/1,2 inches . Belt buckle diameter 4,5 cm/ 1,8 inches.
