Bulgarian Order Red Flag of Labor , 1st emission
This is the first emission of the order and it is distinguished by а miniature screw and а stamped serial number on the order's reverse. The order is solid, issued in the 1950s-1960s; comes with an old case with the old coat of arms.
GENERAL INFO:
Instituted: On 13th December 1950
Awarded for: successfully completing the plans for social economic development and achievements in the spheres of the social, scientific and cultural life of the country. Instead of free economic market, Bulgaria and the rest of the Socialist countries had 5 year economic plans("Petiletka") for development and production. This order was given to labor heroes who completed the goals set by the government bureaucrats before the deadline. Such was their help to "building" communism faster and reaching the dreamt social system.
Form: Oval, of 42x36 mm size. In the middle of the order are placed enamelled red flag and crossed hammer and sickle. They are separated by wheat twigs with star . The writhing "For Socialistic labor" is on the toothed circle.
Classes: Only one class with five-angle, dark-red ribbon with light-blue line in the middle.
Emissions: There are 2 emissions: an old one, with a little screw and serial number on the reverse, and a new one missing those elements.
