Badge for building Alexander Stamboliiski dam
The badge composition is very curious: the dam is placed on a five-pointed star back grounded by the Bulgarian tricolor on whose white strip is written “Alexander Stamboliiski dam, 1954”. Parts of the badge are enameled in different colors, something adding to the art value of this labor- stimulating item.
The badge is characterized by a pin back.
General information: The dam is named after Alexander Stamboliiski, who used to be a leader of the agrarians and who had a very antagonistic attitude towards urban life. He was also a Prime minister of Bulgaria and was killed due to political reasons. He is the patron of the Bulgarian National Agrarian party and remains in history as a brave, straightforward man who, although radical at times, defended the rights of his supporters.
