The Bulgarian Atlas presents in maps and commentary to them the thousand-year long history of the Bulgarians. Its origin is now rightly sought in the first millennium BC when its active centers in the Pamirs Region were formed. Many newly found archeological and written data confirm that the Bulgarian dynastic begin in the middle of the 2nd century (prove the royal annals called Name-list of Bulgarian Khans). The unique Bulgarian Sun Calendar with its system of twelve-year cycles precede it by several centuries. From this Ancient period to Contemporary times the Bulgarian history is represent by several maps.
