This dictionary is a second, revised edition of the Bulgarian- English Military dictionary published in 1985. It is based on the presently used Bulgarian military terminology. There are also included words and phrases from the American Ministry of Defense dictionary, "DOD Dictionary of Military and Associated Terms". The dictionary comprises unified terms adopted by NATO, too. For that purpose there have been used military terms used by other NATO country-members.
This dictionary can be extremely helpful to military men, cadets, university professors, translators, students as well as to other specialists working in the military field. The dictionary contains more than 20 000 words and expressions from the military strategics, forces organization, and the different arms systems. Special attention is paid to the phraseology and idiomatic stock of both languages.
