Badge Parvenets of the 7th five- year period
Badge “Parvenets” (given for most outstanding work) awarded during the 7th five-year period of the Bulgarian planned economy (1974-1978).
During the Communist regime everything was planned in terms of five-year periods. There were production requirements, norms, that were to be met; if one reached the upper end of the productivity chart, it was a great achievement, i.e. the more the produced items, the better.
It is a well known fact that during the Communist period badges used to be the greatest stimuli for the people. This badge is a perfect example of a stimulus like this.
