Jubilee medal commemorating 60 years of Radomir- town Soldier uprising in 1918

The uprising took place at the end of WWI when it turned out that Bulgaria was on the wrong side and all hope of returning some of the previously lost territories were shattered. This uprising was aimed against King Ferdinand and his councilors who had lead the country to another national catastrophe.
On the obverse of the medal is shown a flag attached to a soldierÂ’s bayonet. On the flag is written the motto of the soldiers exhausted from 6-year war actions: Â“For Peace and RepublicÂ”.
