The instrument is in E, made of cornel tree, metal and deer horn. When the instrument is played as kaval, it is: 57 cm/22,5Â” long. When used as douduk with kaval fingering, the length of the instrument changes to 58,5 cm/23 inches.
You can choose the color of the instrument - natural (clear) or darker.
You can have any of the both variants below made. If you wish, you can order the kaval with duduk part in a different key - the master will make it for about a week. If you want Victor can engrave some initials or names on the instrument.

Kaval flute with duduk part: Kaval is the most popular woodwind flute on the Balkans, duduk is a similar woodwind instrument but simpler and, of course, with less musical abilities. This instrument can be played both as Duduk and as Kaval - that's possible by replacing the top part. Generally, when it's with the Duduk part this flute sounds almost like the real Kaval, but it is played much more easily. When you play with the Kaval mouthpiece it is more difficult to produce a sound. This instrument can be appropriate for beginners because playing the Duduk is easier and it's the first step to playing the Kaval.

This instrument is made by one of the best masters of woodwind instruments in Bulgaria. He is a professional master of woodwind instruments, woodcarver, and music teacher. He is a renowned master of wooden flutes and most of the professional players such as the great Bulgarian musician Teodossi Spassov and others from all over the world buy his instruments. The master has sold kavals in Europe, US and Japan. One of them is kept as the best example in the section of Balkan Folklore of the Geneva History museum. Victor is the only master making use of unique woodcarvings and metal incrustations on the instruments, making them extraordinary art pieces.
