Bulgarian Communist Army Dagger Awarded by Minister of the Defense Djurov

We offer you a rare Bulgarian communist army dagger that was awarded by the Bulgarian armys commander-in-chief, General Dobri Dzhurov, who was Peoples Defense minister at the time.
The dagger is absolutely original and is in very good, authentic condition. Nice patina & excellent blade. On the nickel-plated scabbard of the blade is hand engraved: -"1300 years Bulgarian combat glory" awarded to Dimiter Polomski by the Minister of People’s Defense - general of the armies Dobri Djurov
This is one of the few daggers given as present by the Peoples Defense minister to certain people who were an important part of the Bulgarian communist history. During the communist regime in Bulgaria, the Party strongly supported its loyal, talented members. The communist army had a special attitude towards them. Dimitur Polomski is one of the few distinguished young poets and journalists, who have been faitful upholders of the communist regime right from the beginning. As a member of the communist party he wrote a lot of articles and books about the communist ideology and the undaunted spirit of the Bulgarian army trough all the years. The dagger was another sign of honor and gratitude to the D. Polomski merits awarded personally by general Djurov.
The model can be dated to1951. It is of the RARE early emission, awarded in a very short period of time. The early emission is characterized by the smooth surface of the snap hook and the Party House, which have been embossed for the late dagger emissions.
The length of the dagger with the scabbard is 34 cm/13.3 inches. The blade is 23.5 cm/9.2 inches. At the upper end of one of the scabbards side is visible the Bulgarian Communist Party House, on the other can be seen a lion in front of the sun. Perfect blade, the scabbard is chromium plated made of steel. There are some scabbard groves visible emphasizing its authenticity.
The dagger is in perfectly preserved, autentic condition. Its a rare find every collector will be proud of. This makes the dagger even more valuable! Dont miss it!
