We offer original Bulgarian royal army gas mask used in WWII.

The gas mask is full set - completes with canvas bag with shoulder strap, and gas mask’s filter. 

Bulgaria stands up for Germany during the two world wars. As German ally Bulgarian army was equipped with German accoutrements or such made in Bulgarian after the German model. Such is the gas mask we have here – it is modeled after the "Gasmaske 200 model 109" from 1933 of the Draeger factory. This last one gave the producer license to the Bulgarian state factory – DVF (Durjavna Voenna Fabrika) in the town of Kazanluk. The factory produced two main types gas masks. The first earlier one (which we offer as well) is of metal flap situated on side. While the second later model has a rubber flap based on a bakelite body, placed at front.

Such is the gas mask we offer here. There is a black bakelite corpus at front. In its upper part is screwed the filter. Below is the exhalation flap. On the flap is seen the king Boris III coat of arms - a standing on a shield lion with the royal crown above. Below are the DVF letters standing for the Bulgarian military factory.

There are several stamps on the inside – the producer's stamp (head with gas mask); producer/ serial number and date of production: "10th June 1940".

The gas mask has stretching straps marked on inside.

The filter is original too – it preserves the original label that gives details on the gas mask use: "Gas mask filter of type 1, number …. Tested on January 7, 1940. Keeps from all acid gas and all types smokes and fоgs". The filter is still sealed with piece of cardboard with instruction stamp: "wrap the cap before use the breading part". Filter is never used proved by the untouched covering membrane. There is small crack on the edge but still its condition is rarely preserved absolutely authentic. Even the paper label is still visible.

The canvas bag is also identical to the German model one. Bag is marked with stamp of the Military factory - a head with gas mask and the abbreviation D.V.F. There is a small pocket keeping special type fog lences. If needed they should be placed over the normal lences.

Gas mask is never used, with original powder covering the inside!  Rare item in authentic Perfect condition !
