Bulgarian communist Combat Merit Medal + certificate

Instituted: On 13th December 1950
Given to: Military people in armed forces of PRB and servicemen in the Ministry of Home Affairs. Participants in troops for their skills and bravery on the battlefield or for guarding the borders, independence and security of the country.
Form: Circle shape made of yellow metal with 32 mm diameter. On averse is an image of soldier with a gun in one hand and a shell with the other. Surrounded by wheat twigs. Reverse fiveangle star and is written "For Combat Merit". The ribbon of the medal is five-angle shape, in dark-red and light-blue line in the middle.
Awarded: the first awarded was Zlatan Petrov, on 28 August 1954
