Rare Original German Machine Gun Belt Filler MG 34 "Maschinengewehr 34"
We are pleased to offer you a machine gun belt filler Gurtfiller, which was part of the well known German "Maschinengewehr 34" or the MG34 weapon. It was used by the infantry of the Wehrmacht. This was also the main vehicle/tank machine gun throughout the war to the end of WW2. Developed as the first real universal machine gun that could be used from the bipod as a LMG, medium machine gun on a tripod or as AA fire. The design of the MG34 started in the early 1930's and finally adopted for service in the 1934's. This remained the official MG of the Wehrmacht until 1942, when officially replaced by the more reliable and cheaper MG42. As a tank machine gun, the MG34 was equipped with a heavier barrel and armored barrel jacket without the vent holes. This was the earliest belt filling machine 'Gurtfiller 34'introduced with the MG34 and came in a standard 250rnd ammo box. It was a hopper fed crank handle operated machine clamped to a table or bench. All parts are stamped with the German producer's mark.
