Bulgarian Order of the Rose, 2nd class
Instituted: On 4th August 1966
Given to: foreign citizens for achievements regarding peace and friendship between PRB and other countries as well as for contribution to social progress.
Form: Oval shape: 40 mm in diameter. In the center is placed the embossed image of a rose. The order has a miniature for daily use: 18 mm in diameter. The first class is characterized by gold rays and a rose in the middle. The second class is silver, except the gilt rose. The ribbon of the order is wave-like. The order rarely came with a necklace with gold elements (awarded to Presidents' wives). Their concubines received the small miniature only, unofficially.
