Pianist Ludmil ANGELOV offers a very interesting and original in terms of interpretation recordings of some of Chopin's little known early works, starting with Rondo, op. 1 (1825) created in his childhood yet clearly marking the composer's exceptional talent. Listening to the works one can relish in the technical inventiveness, the brave innovations and the perfect combination of folk elements with the classical forms and requirements. This is particularly valid for Rondo a la Mazur. As a performer who constantly looks for new opportunities for his artistic realisation, Ludmil Angelov demonstrates in this recital release his abilities as pianist of a style of his own - original conceptions and analyses of each of the performed works, each interpreted in an individual manner, fascinating with the softness and flexibility of tone, melody and harmony. Along with that and the combination of virtuosity, brilliance, warmth and lyricism which impress the listener, there stands out a multi-coloured palette of sound nuances. All this is in confirmation of the successful career of the pianist, first-prize winner of the World Piano Masters International Competition of Monte Carlo, who has toured extensively on the world's major stages.
