We offer an original royal tunic belonged to senior officer - Colonel of the royal infantry army. We got yhis tunic from the relatives of the colonel - officer Mihail Gulubov.
He was born 1891, in Sofia, married with two children. In 1913 he is of rank podporuchik
/ second lieutenant. During the WWI he was promoted in poruchik - 1st lieutenant. In 1936 he is already a colonel on a general post , leading the 7th Royal Infantry devision .
This is his last parade tunic that colonel Gulubov had.
The model is from 1936, designed for military parades and special occasions. It is of dark blue (almost black) color and was made of soft, woolen material (gabardine), specifically used for the make of officer's garments. There is one pocket on the inside .
The tunic buttons are of yellow metal , with the image of a crowned lion - the Bulgarian royal army symbol. Tunic comes with its original shoulder pieces of Colonel of royal Infantry .
Size is M, length of sleeve 65 cm / 25,6 inch.
Tunic can be completed with officer parade belt and white parade WWII aglets, such we offer on our other listing.
Tunic is in overall VG condition with only few small holes at front ( when buttoned holes are not seen) . It is a precious item for it survived the communist regime that was chasing and destroying all marks of royal period.
