Bulgarian WWII Royal army Tank officer tunic

We offer rare tunic belonged to an officer of the armored tank brigade of Bulgarian royal army.

On March 1^st 1935 the Bulgarian armoured regiment was formed. It was entirely equipped of German armaments. In 1943 it grows to an armoured brigade with a depot, a regiment of over 120 tanks, a reconnaissance unit, motor regiment, signal and pioneer companies. In 1942 Bulgarian army adopted the German regulations on uniforms.

The tunic here belonged to a high rank officer – Major from the control stuff of armoured forces.

The tunic is winter model, for daily use, made of soft woolen material of black color. Officer shoulder boards of a Major – silver, yellow edged – typical for the armoured brigade. The tunic has two breast pockets and two hand pockets. Original buttons with Bulgarian crowned lion. There is also a metal hanger for belt on the left side. A cord-belt built in on the back side of the tunic to regulate the waist. General size L. Length of the sleeve 61,5s cm/ 24,2”.

Tunic comes with officer leather belt, that is also of German model. Made of thick natural leather. Length 130 cm/ 51”, width 5,4 cm/ 2,2”.

The tunic is of perfect condition. Rare item for WW2 collectors!
