We offer rare tunic of a high rank officer from Bulgarian communist infantry. It’s interesting find because is of 1st early communist model used right after the WWII, that repeats the Soviet M43.
At the end of WWII Bulgaria joined the new ally - USSR. In Bulgaria were forbidden all royal symbols. A replacement of the awards, uniforms, and equipment, related to the tzar monarchic regime started. The officer’s uniforms had to be changed too. The higher rank officers were introduced with Russian M43 uniforms. The model was used in Bulgaria till 1957.
We don’t know if uniforms were made in Russia or Bulgaria, but the material and its color is exactly like the Soviet WWII ones. The shoulder boards and tunic edging is in strawberry red, also typical for the Soviet uniforms from that period. Only the buttons are slightly different – made of metal with five-pointed stars.
Tunic was worn by infantry colonel, designed by the authentic shoulder boards (one of them shabby on edges). Coat is of two breast pockets and one pocket inside.
Size : L , length of sleeve 63 cm/ 24,8ince .
VG authentic condition.A precious find for uniform collectors!
