We offer a rare royal army cape belonged to an high officer colonel of the royal Infantry. Model is from 1932 when the cape was part of the official officer uniform used for parade orders. This model can be easily recognized by the buttoned collar strap. After 1933 this strap was often replaced by a metal chain. The same model capes were used during the WWII when royal Bulgaria is ally to Germany.
The small buttons illustrate Bulgarian crowned lion - symbol of the army. Shoulder boards of a high rank officer - colonel. The black button is Germany made, marked by "Adke patent".
The cloaks were made of soft wool special quality material. For this reason during the hard years of war and post war period, many of them were remade to different kind of clothes. That fact make the piece here more rare even! Here below we also show a picture of royal officer with same model cape.
The overcoat is in rare perfect, great and authentic condition! Precious find for all WW2 uniform collectors !!!
